Urban Street Angels | Dustin's Story
Dustin ran away at 12 years old from his unstable home. Dustin gives us a glimpse of the stresses of his past life living on the streets until Urban Street Angels gives him a hand up, making his way off the streets into a life of hope going forward. Urban Street Angel's mission is to end youth homelessness by providing emergency overnight shelter, supportive housing, and job training opportunities to cultivate personal responsibility.
Project objective
Urban Street Angels is a nonprofit that is close to my heart. I was heavily involved as a volunteer from the time they opened their doors and developed strong relationships with many of their program participants. Dustin was their first.
Dustin's story was used to bring the Urban Street Angel's impact to life. We crafted this video at the start of a significant growth push that got the organization from a small group of volunteers to become a prominent player in ending youth homelessness in San Diego.
I have produced and directed multiple videos for Urban Street Angels over the years. Dustin's story is most dear to my heart.
